Free Plans to Build a Viva Terra Inspired Elmwood Modular Shelving
Today’s plans are for a hefty piece of modular shelving. Very rustic looking and functional, this will be an awesome addition to any decor!
Materials:
- 2-1/2″ pocket hole screws
- 3″ screws
- 10 – 6″ metal angle brackets (spray paint them, if desired)
- Finishing supplies
Lumber:
- 3 – 2×6 at 6′
- 1 – 2×8 at 8′
Cut List:
- 3 – 2×6 at 63″ – Back
- 5 – 2×8 at 16-1/2″ – Shelves

1. Cut the pieces for the back. Drill pocket holes in two of the boards (as shown) and join the boards using glue and 2-1/2″ pocket hole screws. Mark the position of the shelves and draw placement lines on the front and the back. Drill countersunk pilot holes for the shelves from the back.
2. Cut the pieces for the shelves. Secure to the back using glue and 3″ countersunk screws. For extra stability, add two metal angle brackets under each shelf.
Finish as desired.
