- 1 – 4′ x 8′ sheet of plywood
Cut List:
- 2 – 3/4″ plywood at 13-1/4″ x 15″ – Base Ends
- 2 – 3/4″ plywood at 13-1/4″ x 37-1/2″ – Base Sides

- 2 – 3/4″ plywood at 5-1/2″ x 30″ – Top Trim
- 2 – 3/4″ plywood at 5-1/2″ x 52-1/2″ – Top Trim
Notes About the Project:
- Sand all of the pieces before assembly
- Edge banding can be used to cover the edges of the plywood, and it will need to be applied before assembly
Step One
Cut the pieces for the base. Set the pocket hole jig for 3/4″ material and drill pocket holes in each end of the longer pieces, as well as one long edge of each piece which will be used to secure the top.
Assemble the base using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.
Step Two
Cut the piece for the top. Position the base on the underside of the top, locating it 6-3/4″ away from the edges on all sides, and secure in place using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.
Step Three
Cut the pieces for the top trim. Secure the longer pieces to the longer edges of the top using glue and 2″ brad nails. The upper edge of the trim will be flush with the top.
Position the shorter pieces at the shorter ends of the top and secure in place using glue and 2″ brad nails. Add a few brad nails through the shorter trim pieces into the sides of the longer trim pieces.
Finish as desired.
