Keeping Supplies Handy with a Lazy Susan Organizer

For crafters, it is really important to have our huge hoard of supplies close at hand. I’m going to share how to make a Lazy Susan organizer to help keep those paint brushes, scissors, pens, pencils, glue, etc. close at hand during a monumental craft-a-thon!

Supplies:

  • Lazy Susan (<– affiliate link!)
  • Craft paint
  • Scrapbooking paper
  • Mod Podge
  • Assorted wire cups
  • Spray paint
  • Liquid Nails

I know that Lazy Susans are not easy to come by… On my other site, Designs by Studio C, I can show you how to cut MDF or wood circles on a bandsaw and how to install Lazy Susan hardware to create your own! I made my own for this project. A couple of wood circles from the craft store will work just as well, but you will still need to install the Lazy Susan Hardware.

I painted the edges and an approximate 1″ border on the top of the Lazy Susan with Turquoise craft paint.

I cut a piece of scrapbooking paper (map cardstock) in a circle and glued it on top of the Lazy Susan with Mod Podge. I then added a coat of Mod Podge over the top of the paper and Lazy Susan just in case I spill paint…

I found several wire office supply cups at my local dollar store. I chose four different spray paint colors and painted each cup a different color. I forgot to photograph this step but I’m sure you get the idea!

I arranged the cups in a way that worked for me, and secured them in place with the Liquid Nails.

And now, my craft-a-thon self is ready with all of my supplies at hand with a little space in front to spill paint for a few other supplies!
