I’m sorry. I feel bad for some of you regulars… I have totally been slacking off this week! I’ve been busy creating a bit of happiness! I promise, though, that next week we’ll get back to our regularly scheduled programming, mkay?

Anyway, I’ll share a few photos of things I’ve been working on –

Valspar paint samples –

If you haven’t already signed up for Lowe’s emails, do it! That is how I found out about a “buy-one-get-one-free” deal on their Olympic and Valspar paint samples. Aaaand, to make that deal even sweeter, the samples can be ordered online and picked up in the store!! Oh, yeah!

So why did I need so many paint samples? Well, they are perfect for smaller projects such as wall art, chairs, a small cabinet, or just for trying a color on for size! Trust me I will put these to good use!

The Joss & Main Inspired Claudia Sideboard –

I posted plans for this cabinet while I was in the process of finishing mine. I really love all of the plans I post and want to build basically everything but I honestly do not have the space in my house. Lucky for me, my local Ace Hardware store has a gift shop that accepts handmade furniture for consignment. Now I can satisfy my “need” to build and make a few extra bucks at the same time! I’ll let you know how that goes…

Building chairs –

Lately, I’ve been on a chair building kick. After I built the Dining Chair Bench, I’ve been experimenting with different methods for constructing chairs. I’ll post more on that at another date. Look for the plans for the chairs pictured coming soon on The Design Confidential site.

Creating wall art with my Silhouette Cameo –

If you do not have one of these machines, I highly recommend saving a few extra bucks here and there to buy one! Even though the machine is pricey, the supplies and accessories can be purchased online very inexpensively! They are not just for scrapbookers – in fact, I am certainly not a scrapbooker but I use mine for other different types of projects. Right now, I am creating wall art featuring Purebond plywood and will write a full post with details next week.

So anyway, if you have projects you’d like to share, let me know! I’d love to feature you on DbSC! Send me a message at cher {at} designsbystudioc {dot} com or designsbystudioc {at} gmail {dot} com!

Thank you so much! I don’t think you’re a slacker… I’ve been to your site and you’re pretty busy! I’m still glad I’m not the only one who suffers from MUDD!

You are going to make me “get my guilt on” with the chair building!! Hubs and I have discussed a new dining room table, but I informed him it was still going to be an expensive venture since we’d be purchasing chairs for it. He was surprised that I wasn’t going to make the chairs but I told him that was out of my league…and now you go and start showing me how to go about it 🙂

Hee hee, Kristen!! I love it but I am challenged when it comes to cutting the back legs in one piece – it’s an OCD thing about both legs being the same! I usually cut mine in two pieces. If you haven’t already, check out the plans I have for three different dining chairs. They really are easy to build! Click on the “Plans” in the right sidebar, then “Chairs & Seating”…

Thanks so much! I’m sure the chair you would build would be sturdy enough! Stop by any time!
