Free DIY Woodworking Plans to Build a Leroy End Table

Today, I’m sharing free DIY woodworking plans to build a Leroy End table. This unique table features a large top, shelf and drawer perfect for all storage needs. The table would work equally well as a nightstand and it can be constructed as a right side table or a left side table by switching the position for the back!

Materials:

• 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws (<– affiliate link!)
• Edge banding, if desired
• 2 – 8-1/2″ angles, 1″ wide (flat shelf brackets can also be used!) with screws
• 1 set of 16″ drawer slides (<– affiliate link!)
• Drawer pull
• Finishing supplies

Lumber:

Lumber listed is to construct one table!

• 1 sheet of 3/4″ plywood

Cut List:

• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 18″ x 25″ – Bottom
• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 18″ x 18-1/2″ – Side
• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 10″ x 18″ – Side
• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 18″ x 25″ – Top
• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 18″ x 23-1/2″ – Shelf
• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 9-1/4″ x 23-1/2″ – Back
• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 16″ x 21″ – Drawer Bottom
• 2 – 3/4″ plywood at 9″ x 16″ – Drawer Sides
• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 9″ x 22-1/2″ – Drawer Back
• 1 – 3/4″ plywood at 9″ x 23-1/4″ – Drawer Front

Step One

Cut the pieces for the sides and the bottom. Drill pocket holes in both edges of the taller side piece, and one edge of the shorter side piece. Attach to the bottom using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.

Step Two

Cut the piece for the top. Secure to the taller side piece using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.

Step Three

Cut the piece for the shelf and drill pocket holes in each end. Secure to the sides as shown using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.

Step Four

Cut the piece for the back and drill pocket holes in all four edges. Secure to the table as shown using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.

Step Five

Attach the angles to the underside of the top and inside of the taller side piece with screws.

Step Six

Cut the pieces for the drawer. Drill pocket holes in each end of the side pieces as well as all four edges of the bottom. Assemble as shown using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws. The fronts will overlap the drawer box by 3/8″ on each side.

Finish as desired!
