Step One

Edge banding will be applied to the exposed edges of the plywood prior to assembly.

Cut the pieces for the bottom, middle shelf, top, and the base frame. With the pocket hole jig set for 3/4″ material, drill pocket holes in each end of the shorter base frame pieces. Assemble the frame using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.

Secure the base frame onto the piece for the bottom. The frame will be centered with a 1-1/2″ “border” on all sides. Secure in place using glue and 1-1/4″ brad nails.

Cut the pieces for the lower dividers 2. Drill pocket holes in the back edge as well as the bottom edges. Treat the pieces as if there are two left pieces and two right pieces. This way, the pocket holes will face inside and will be hidden. Secure the lower dividers 2 to the lower divider 1 and the bottom using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.
